1. Who we are
ProPrep is a meal planning and nutrition app operated by GoMedia ("ProPrep," "we," "us," or "our"). We are the controller of personal information processed through the ProPrep app and website unless stated otherwise.

2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, account identifier, profile image, sign-in provider, and account creation date. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide a relay email address instead of your personal email.
Profile and nutrition information
To personalize ProPrep, you may provide age, height, weight, biological sex, measurement system, fitness goals, dietary preferences, food preferences, kitchen equipment, meal preferences, calorie targets, protein targets, and related onboarding responses.
Content you add
We process recipes, meal plans, grocery lists, food log entries, recipe links, text, screenshots, meal photos, barcode data, notes, and edits you choose to save. Photos can contain metadata or background details, so only upload images you want us to process.
App permissions
With your permission, ProPrep may access your camera or selected photos to scan food, analyze meals, and import recipes. It may also request notification permission for reminders. You can change these permissions in your device settings.
Technical information
We and our service providers may receive device type, operating system, app version, IP address, timestamps, diagnostic logs, crash information, and basic security or usage events. Our website may receive standard hosting logs. We do not use this website to sell personal information or build advertising profiles.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create and secure your account;
- personalize nutrition targets, recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists;
- analyze food photos, estimate nutrition, look up barcodes, and import or transform recipes;
- sync your content across supported devices and restore it after sign-in;
- provide support, service messages, reminders, and subscription features;
- monitor reliability, prevent fraud or misuse, and improve ProPrep; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
Depending on where you live, our legal bases include performing our contract with you, your consent, compliance with law, and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving ProPrep. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting earlier processing.
4. AI processing and nutrition estimates
Some features send the content needed for your request—such as a meal photo, recipe text, or recipe image—to an AI service to produce an estimate or transformation. ProPrep currently uses services from Google and OpenAI for certain AI features. These providers process the content on our behalf under their applicable business terms.
AI results can be incomplete or wrong. ProPrep lets you review estimates before saving them. Do not rely on an estimate for diagnosis, allergy safety, medical nutrition therapy, or another high-risk decision.
5. When we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed with:
- Cloud and database providers, including Supabase, which hosts authentication, database records, storage, and backend functions;
- AI providers, including Google and OpenAI, when you use features that require AI processing;
- Platform and payment providers, such as Apple, which handles App Store purchases and may provide sign-in services;
- Operational providers that support hosting, security, diagnostics, or customer support;
- Authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or complete a corporate transaction.
Service providers may only use information to provide their contracted services, subject to their legal obligations. If our provider list materially changes, we will update this policy.
6. Consumer health data
Depending on local law, information such as weight, nutrition targets, food logs, and fitness goals may be considered consumer health data. We collect and use it to provide the features you request, as described above. We may share it with the processors listed in Section 5 only as necessary to provide those features, secure the service, or comply with law.
We do not sell consumer health data and do not use it for targeted advertising. You may ask to access or delete this data using the choices below.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain account information and saved content while your account is active and as needed to provide ProPrep. We may retain limited records longer where required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, tax, accounting, or legal compliance. Backup copies may remain for a limited period before being overwritten.
You can request permanent account deletion from the Profile area in the app or by emailing support@proprep.me. Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account. Some de-identified information and records we are legally required to keep may remain.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, download, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a denied request. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
To exercise a right, use the in-app controls or email us. We may need to verify that the request relates to you. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. An authorized agent may submit a request where local law permits, subject to verification.
9. Security and international transfers
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong device passcode and protect access to your account.
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use recognized transfer safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
10. Children
ProPrep is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and delete it.
11. Third-party content and links
ProPrep may let you import a recipe from a third-party website or social platform. Those services have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover information they independently collect. Only import content you are permitted to use.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as ProPrep evolves. We will change the date above and provide additional notice in the app when required. If you have questions, requests, or complaints, contact support@proprep.me.
